Get what you need faster

A new header navigation at the top of the Home app lets you access what you need from a single place. Quickly search for a specific device or automation instead of swiping through the app. Google Home Premium users unlock even more: type in a question about what happened at home or an automation idea in natural language, and let Gemini do it for you.2,3

New simplified layout

Delightfully intuitive. And beautiful too.

A new three-tab design makes the Google Home app more intuitive. The Home tab gives you one place to view and customise your favourite devices. An updated Activity tab gives you AI summaries of recent activity across your cameras, and the new Automations tab shows your upcoming automations, along with an easier-to-use builder (Google Home Premium subscription required).3,7

Upgraded camera experiences

Major upgrades for more peace of mind.

It's now even easier to keep an eye on your home, wherever you are. Use familiar YouTube-style gestures in your camera feed, like swiping up and down to expand or change camera views, to get to what you're looking for faster. Zoom in and crop the view on compatible cameras and doorbells to stay focused on one important spot. And with Google Home Premium, see what happened at a glance with animated, zoomed-in previews in event notifications for compatible devices.2

Visual automation editor

Amazing automations. Even more customisable.

With an Advanced plan of Google Home Premium (sold separately) you can use the Google Home app can make new types of automations with improved creation and management tools and a better visual editor. Build automations that haven't been possible before: for one-time events, specific dates and times and more.3
